Alan Shuptrine owns Shuptrine Fine Art Group, which houses both Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery and Shuptrine Fine Art, located at 2646 Broad Street in the South Broad Street Design and Art District in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
For nearly 25 years, Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery has been creating one of a kind custom frames, designing each piece to complement the artwork. Using the lost art of water gilding, each frame has a unique finish, which enhances the artwork, as well as increases the value.
Along with custom framing, Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery also offers fine American Art, restorations of gilded frames, conservation of fine paintings, gilding of interiors, custom mirrors, period reproduction frames, and gilded antiques.
Working with some of the top conservationists in the country, the artisans of Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery utilize a minimalist approach, striving to recreate historically accurate patinas, while maintaining the integrity of the antique.
Gold Leaf Designs & Gallery works with many museums, art galleries, antiques aficionados, and private art collectors all over the world. Along with framing and restorations, the gallery displays numerous works of recognized American artists. Representing over 30 artists worldwide, we offer a wide range of mediums and concepts from oils and watercolors, to photographs and sculpture.
